Ever thought about raising your own Thanksgiving turkey? And a few for other holidays throughout the year? Or maybe you want to raise turkeys to sell direct from the farm, at farmers markets, or even to food distributors. Raising turkeys isn't that hard, but there are a few things that differ from raising chickens. Poults, young turkey "chicks," require a little bit more TLC and special handling than baby chicks. And there are a few reasons you might not want to raise turkeys and chickens in the same space.
