Benefits of Bartering

Are you a small-time farmer or overachieving homesteader who doesn't really have enough to take to the farmers market, but you still have extra produce, animals, wool or what-have-you? Try bartering. Put up a sign at your local co-op or general store with what you have available and what you're seeking. Take out a small ad in your local trader. And don't forget simple word-of-mouth - tell your neighbors, friends and fellow farmers that you have some extra goodies to trade. Remember that you can barter for services, too.

Why not include bartering online? On Barterquest.com for example you can post whatever you have and link it to whatever you want!
