Got Eggs?

This is our year "off" from new chicks, but I know that many folks who got chicks this spring are gearing up for egg production now or within a month or two. If it's your first time raising chickens, you might be wondering how to wash and store your first eggs. And even if you're a seasoned poultry keeper, you might find a information on keeping your eggs cleaner before you even wash them handy.

If you're selling eggs, make sure to tell potential customers all about the benefits of pastured chicken eggs (assuming that's what you're selling, of course!). If your hens are not on pasture, you really should try it. Yolks a shade of orange plucked from a sunset, thick whites that stand up and demand attention (or at least a good whipping).
